When I run the #which -m command , I received the following error :-
ypwhich: can't get the list of maps: RPC: Timed out.

How to troubleshoot this problem.

Hi,

check if ypbind is running or is operative:
- ps -ef | fgrep ypbind
- rpcinfo -p localhost | fgrep yp
