No buffer space available
Yesterday all my users where unable to ping my server.
while self-pinging my server I got an error No buffer space available. As a result I had to restart my server.
Is there any other way to solve this problem
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
Regards
Prosanjit

Re: No buffer space available
You don't specify the OS (10.20, 11.0 ?).
For 10.20 there is a 'ping' patch: PHNE_19566. For 11.0 see PHNE_16158. I would definitely get one of these from the Patch Database and install it if you haven't already.
I'd also make sure you have current ARPA networking patches.

Re: No buffer space available
Use "echo bufpages/D | adb -k /stand/vmunix /dev/kmem" command to see the current buffer size of use sysdef before making the modifications.
With this information, modify the dbc_max_pct and dbc_min_pct values in your kernel.
