No responsive Console

Hi,

I am using a terminal C1099A connected to L-class (L2000). I sometime encounter no responsive console. Then, I must reset console by press D until turn console up or soft-reset GSP by "stty +resetGSP Any help to explain about it and fix it????

Re: No responsive Console

Turn off the console.

turn it back on.

When it comes up try ctrl-alt-D

or ctrl-shift-D
(I don't remember which).

This should reset the console.

Re: No responsive Console

Sorry about my bad memory.

If a console keeps doing that, you might want to replace it. We had one that locked up like that a few times a month. After a call to Hardware support, they replaced it under contract.

Re: No responsive Console

SEP, what do you mean?
Replace terminal or GSP. I replaced GSP already but prob is still there.

Re: No responsive Console

Do you have another console connected to another machine? If so, swap them over and see if the problem follows the terminal or stays with the machine.

Re: No responsive Console

I mean replace the terminal.

They don't have many moving parts but every once in a while they do fail. Try another terminal on the box and see what happens. If the problem follows the terminal around, its the terminal.
