Try
1.
#pvdisplay -v /dev/dsk/c0t11d0
To know if it is a part of existing vg.
and ,
2.
# strings /etc/lvmtab | grep c0t11d0
Hope then you can go ahead ,

You can use -f option with pvcreate to force creation also.
# pvcreate -f /dev/rdsk/c0t11d0
# pvcreate -B /dev/rdsk/c0t11d0

The error indicates that the physical disk was once part of a volume group. Perhaps you vg(import)ed it from another server.
If you truly want to 'pvcreate' it. do:
# pvcreate -B -f /dev/rdsk/c0t11d0
..the '-f' flag forces the operation.
