Not getting prompt

Hi all,

We have PARISC superdome server with hpux 11.11
version OS. The vpar is up and running fine. Even i can able to login into server but i am not get the shell.

Please gimme some solution

well first please provide a better problem description - this is like going to a mechanic and saying "my car no work".

How are you trying to login? Using telnet or ssh or something else?

How far do you get? Are you able to enter the username and password? Is anything shown on the screen when you attempt this?

Please explain what "not get the shell"
means. One good way to do that might be to
copy+paste actual commands and actual output.

Do you have something in /etc/profile, users profile ?
Try to hit ctrl+c.

Are you the only user with this issue? Or is it for multiple users?

What happens if you log in via a console?
