Re: notification thru e-mail

Hi,

This is EMS notification from your server. One generally gets this message whenever EMS service getting started or after server botts up.
You can ignore this mail it would stop after a while

Re: notification thru e-mail

Hi,

This is a notification message only of
the 'ems' daemon starting or being
restarted. You can change the notification
types using '/etc/opt/resmon/lbin'monconfig'
program. There is also a man page for this
that explains more.

Re: notification thru e-mail

Hi,

If they are the same as the message
you posted, then delete them using
monconfig. I am not sure why you are
receiving 70-100 per day. If they
are different to the posted message
it may indicate some problem with
that hardware. If there is a different
one, please post it so further analysis
can be done. To delete the
notification messages if they are
the same do this:

In
/etc/opt/lbin/monconfig

You can delete some of the monitors,
namely the ones marked as
INFORMATION to TEXTLOG and
INFORMATION to EMAIL root

(D) Delete a monitoring service
Pick out the ones as described above
and then press q to quit
the
(E) Enable monitoring
This will re-read the process and it's
new table.
These should stop the information
messages being sent to root and
also filling up the event.log file

HTH
