NTP problem

Hi,

I have two rp8400 and four 5470 server of which one 8400 is configured as NTP server. When i configured then all the client server have same time. but after that i am getting the following message in syslog

Oct 27 16:07:48 earth xntpd[984]: tickadj = 625, tick = 10000, tvu_maxslew = 61875
Oct 27 16:07:48 earth xntpd[984]: precision = 17 usec
Oct 27 16:07:48 earth xntpd[984]: bind() fd 4, family 2, port 123, addr 00000000, in_classd=0 flags=1 fails: Address already in use


What may be the reason

Hi,
seems to be the port is blocked by another process.
Do a
#lsof -i UDP:123 or
#netstat -anv |grep 123"
to make sure that the port is free.
