you might try www.ntp.org. getting xntpd to run on 9.x invovled a bit more than just compile and run as I recall as there was no adjtime() system call, but with any luck all the directions remain in the distribution.

ALthough 9.x is completely unsupported and not Y2K safe (which begs the question: Why worry about the time/date?), you can get an unofficial patch for 9.x at:
ftp://contrib:9unsupp8@hprc.external.hp.com/sysadmin/ntp.9x
As always, standard disclaimers: your mileage may vary, 3 out 4 doctors prescribe this to their patients, ALGOL programmers need not apply, swim at your own risk....
