On-site Time and Material support for HP-UX 10.20

Just wondering if anybody know if HP will still provide on-site time and material support for systems running HP-UX 10.20? I know that the HP-UX 10.20 has been obsoleted since June 30, 2003.

There is no software support available for HP-UX 10.20 Hardware support is still available for some systems that run 10.20
What are the chances...

I'm particularly interested in HP-UX 10.20 software support. Maybe I shouldn't use "Time & Material" term as this pertains more to hardware support. I just want to find out if there's any kind of support HP will provide (officially) for HP-UX 10.20.

I think the term that you are looking for is "best effort". I know of a few cases where HP has recently done that for 9.07 but they make no promises for obsolete OS versions.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

If you contact your local HP rep, your question would be answered.

If this were a strict software deal and it would not interfere with my job, I'd offer to provide support on a dial in basis.

You want hardware though, and since you probably don't live/work in Chicago, I don't think that would work for you.

Your best bet is to find a third party firm if HP won't do it. I think you'll find HP very expensive.

HP has been helping me with issues on 10.20 systems, of course they're not creating new patches..I'd upgrade to 11.0 or 11.11

Our company was given the opportunity to select from three possible support structures.

I can't recall all the details but the most expensive option was for 10.20 phone-in support and, I think, included best-effort R&D to resolve said problem. The next option (that we took) has the contract reading 11.0 (but HP knows that server runs 10.20), they will do best-effort support but will not do any R&D beyond currently available knowledge and fixes. Third option might have been per-incident calls.

Definitely run it past your support specialist.
