I installed the latest OpenSSH on my workstations (HP-UX 10.20). Applications running on Linux workstations can export X-windows to
HP (e.g., ssh linux_server "xterm"). With
HP servers, I obtain an error message about an X authentication problem. What does this mean?

Re: OpenSSH
The exact error message would help, but what you probably need to do is
man xhost

Solution
Hi Ulrich,
I guess the reason is that HPUX10.20 uses (at least some) X11R3/4 libraries, and you'll have to change one option to permit those through SSH...
Read the FAQ:
http://www.openssh.org/faq.html#3.12
and change the option "X11UseLocalhost".
FWIW,
Wodisch
