Hi,
I'm trying to use CVM features which available as part of OPS for use with two node cluster.
Has anybody used VXVM/CVM with OPS?
Is it a requirement to install the CVM (B9117AA)?
When following the installation instructions in the OPS manual. There was a requirement to run vxinstall. I was then prompted for a Veritas licence key. I guess that the base version of vxvm was bundled with 11i and doesn???t require a licence. I noticed in syslog that veritas complaining it was unlicensed. Where do you get the veritas licence key?
If anyone has experience in running OPS with CVM/VXVM any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Michael

Solution
Regarding "...Where do you get the veritas licence key?..."
You'll have to call the codewords number for HP @ 1800-538-1733, I believe option 4. They'll ask for your system id:
uname -i
They'll email you instructions about enabling the Veritas Software within HP-UX.

Re: OPS and cvm
Hi,
You have to have licence to install Veritas CVM(Clusterd Volume Manager). In my knowledge it's not a part of any HP UX distribution.
you have to bye it seperately.
