Patch bundle cleanup ??

I've just installed the General Release Patchbundle of Sept2000 on our HP9000 D370. I had just installed HP-UX 11.00 on it with no patches yet of any kind. The system is going to be used as a test-server for Oracle 8.0.5.
When I look at the output of swlist I wonder if there is not a lot installed now that I don't need. My question is therefore simple. Should I (sw)remove the patches I (think) I don't/won't need or should I just keep them on the system. Does it matter when it comes to performance ?
