Patch PHCO_15700 installation problems
I have problems when I try to instal the PHCO_15700 patch. Here is the log:
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true -s /tmp/PHCO_15700.depot
# match_target=true -s /tmp/PHCO_15700.depot <
======= 08/12/02 17:56:21 WETDST BEGIN swinstall SESSION
(non-interactive)
* Session started for user "root@manon".
* Beginning Selection
* Target connection succeeded for "manon:/".
* "manon:/tmp/PHCO_15700.depot": This source is a tape device.
* "manon:/tmp/PHCO_15700.depot": Cannot open the logfile on
this target or source. Possibly the media is read-only or
there is a permission problem. Check the daemon logfile and
"/var/tmp/swagent.log" on this host for more information.
NOTE: The patch match operation failed to find patches for target
software on "manon" which passed the filter.
NOTE: Cannot continue the "swinstall" task.
======= 08/12/02 17:56:23 WETDST END swinstall SESSION
(non-interactive)
Can someone help
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Jerome

Re: Patch PHCO_15700 installation problems
I'm not sure why your match operation is failing - do you have the base software (array manager) installed? Also, I would think you would want to get the more curent patch PHCO_23262.

Re: Patch PHCO_15700 installation problems
This patch has been superceded by another one - PHCO_23262. Try installing that. Also, did you try the 'swinstall' GUI ?

Re: Patch PHCO_15700 installation problems
The patch_match_target will only work if the patched fileset are on the system (and I beleive they need to be in the configured state).
Check:
swlist -l fileset -a state OS-Core.ARRAY-MGMT OS-Core.ADMN-ENG-A-MAN
I agree with Sajid... you should definitely install the latest superseding patch.
Regards...
Dietmar.
