hi all,

how to set path for gcc, gcc should be used by all users in that particular server?

In which particular directory i should by default install.

I install all products in /opt. In this case I would probably use /opt/gnu. Then you can /opt/gnu/bin in /etc/PATH, which should be read by /etc/profile and this will make it available to all your users.

Thanks for your suggestion, but when i found the file gcc extension as .11_depot & when i issued #file gcc_3.4.4_hppa-hp-hpux11.11_depot, How to install it. iam not able 2 use swinstall or thorugh sam.

help it out.
