HP's tools for monitoring the hardware are called STM, from the SupportPlus CD or you can download them from the ITRC. This comes with Predict, HP's tool for predicting hardware problem, EMC monitoring which reports hardware problem, and STM for viewing hardware logs, and details.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Re: Performance Hardware

Hi:

If by "tools" you mean for monitoring server performance, the best one is Glance. You must (ultimiately) purchase it, but a trial version is available on your Application CD.

Glance has builtin help and metrics for everything --- processor, I/O (logical and physical), memory, swap, network, etc. You can drill-down on a particular task (pid) or a particular disk or logical volume group. You can also view key kernel tables (e.g. nfile, etc.).

Alarms are generated for bottlenecks in performance. The alarm specifications are user-customizable too.

Hope this helps.
