what tools or UX-instruction can I use to get
performance snapshots ?
Other tools as glance plus.

Well, you have the traditional Unix tools like vmstat, iostat, swapinfo, sar and the like. And then you have Glance and MeasureWare: Glance for real-time monitoring, MeasureWare for extended monitoring. There are also some other proprietary tools like the one from Lund. What in particular are you looking for?

you can use the top command
top -d
to gather system information into a file
or sar of course ...

It's based over sar and it's very very impressive...Lots of details and explanations to improve performances...
It's an evaluation copy for the start, i recommand this tool for u, easy to use and install and remove ;-)

SAR is the best tool that can be used be for collecting data and analysing the performance whereas if you want pictorial view of how your System is Performing then Glanceplus is the best option. Pain of collecting data and analysing reduces a lot but it's purchased product.
