PHCO_19046 advise
Hi,
I have a problem with SAM-Users Account and two guys from this site advised me
to install patch PHCO_19046 for HP-UX10.20 but when I read the documentation on
this site regarding this patch it seems that it is not related to my problem.
Another thing how can I get the patch from this site.
Anyway, my problem is this I run pwconv (there are no one log-in except me when
I run this) then log-out and log-in back but when I try to log-in back it says
that my password expires so I re-enter a new password and I'm pretty sure this
applies to all users. The main problem is in SAM because when I access the
Account Users on SAM an error occurred below :
UNEXPECTED EXIT : process LANG=C LC_ALL=C /usr/sam/lbin/samx -C -p 8085 -s
users /usr/sam/lib//ug.ui exited with a non-zero exit status
sh : 8202 Bus error(coredump)
therefore there is no easy way for me to modify users.
If anyone can please help me on this and guide me thru as well on the
installation of patch if there is because this is my first time to do this.
Thanks a lot.

Re: PHCO_19046 advise
Sometimes a SAM error like this indicates there is a problem with an already
installed patch not being fully configured. Before installing another patch,
try running this command at the root prompt:
# swconfig \*
This will go through your sw library and make sure everything is configured.
Watch for errors too...
Then try SAM again.
You can download patches from the ITRC at www.itrc.hp.com by going into the
patches section and downloading individual patches.
