Hilary -
Your account has been restored. Check your email for a message.

I'm curious to know how did someone get your password to access your account?! Protect the new one.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - July 2005

Yesterday about 17:20 GMT, the ITRC service went unavailable while I was writing a (rather long) answer. By the time I was finished writing it, and hit Submit, the forum was unavailable, but worse: my answer was lost.

Sorry, but I do not make backup's of my answers while I type, and though I know that losing answers because the browser (opera on linux) did not manage to keep the content, I still think that a valuable piece of information got lost.

It took me so long to compose the answer because I did some research during the answer composition, and some testing to backup my statements.

When the text was gone, I had no tuits left to do the same research again.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - July 2005

Is the email function not working properly? I have not received any "New HP Forum Discussions" notifications since July 22. I checked my profile and I still have choices selected.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - July 2005

Just to clarify something on the issue that was brought up about the links that never seem to stop (brought up by Stuart, if I remember correctly).

This is NOT an issue that only effects new threads. Since I have started visiting the forums again recently, I have gotten a bit sentimental (or is it only MENTAL??) and decided to look over some of my old posts. The issue with the never-ending links was seen on many of them as well.

Sorry I did not think to get the URL to any of them at the time, but I am sure that they can be easily enough located if it is determined that it would be beneficial.

Thanks!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - July 2005

Marlou,

I know for a fact that email function is working properly and I have to put a filter to direct those messages into a separate folder this morning. Make sure you do not have such a rule or contact the mail administrators at your workplace to see if these emails are being treated (wrongly) as spam. You know, many emails you get under a flood of answers to your question in a short period of time, with almost identical context may trigger some baesian filters as spam.

Just a thought

Procura - we cannot move posts from one thread to another. You will have to repost it on the right thread.

The last answer in the (old) thread http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=266286 is more an attempt for publicity.
