Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (7/2)

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE change something with your performance . I'm getting more 404 errors today than anything else.
I even have problems posting replies.

Hi Dan,

I got a "404 not found" every time except for the first page I loaded.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (7/2)

I discovered the forum for me since one week, since that, if I a free minute have, I look there purely. It is very interesting

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (7/2)

It takes two attempts to submit a reply. I get an error screen, go back, submit again then all is fine.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (7/2)

Hi Dan,

Well I tend to ignore the scsi errors and 404 errors...provided there aren't too too many...

BUT I have noticed everyday this week when I go to get logged in..I can't. I may get the ITRC Forums home page..but I am not logged in and when I try to login...it just doesn't. If I go to IT Resource page, I'm there and it knows it's me...but click back to Forums and again it says to login....
Is it a time of day thing??? I'm USA, EST. Generally I try to login anytime between 7am to 8:30am.

Thanks,
Rita

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (7/2)

Everyone, thanks very much for your valuable feedback. Regarding recent posts:

Rita -- the login issue you mention is something I also experience. It is sporadic, and I see it happen at all times of the day (this morning in fact). I've noted it in our tracking tool.

Paul C. -- your suggestion is a good one, and I'll forward it to the ITRC development group. It will likely need to be worked into a future release.

Jim -- thanks for the pointers to previous discussions on enhancements. I agree the suggestions are straightforward, and I have added them to the tracking tool.

All -- the recent 404 issues were related to one of the servers, requiring a reboot. A performance patch is expected soon and hopefully will eliminate these occurrences in future.

I plan to open up another thread regarding Forums issues, as this one is getting rather long. I'll plan to create a new one at the beginning of each month. Until next time....

Regards,
Dan

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (7/2)

Hi
Even though I am logged in European zone when I try to reply or start a new thread I am prompted to login and this time the prompt is for Amercia/Asia pacific. So I have to move back to my zone and login again.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (7/2)

Praveen,

Not sure what causes your issue, however try the following:

Clean the cookies off your machine along with the memory cache, the browser cache, and remove any bookmark for the ITRC. Once you have done this, restart your browser and type in http://www.itrc.hp.com.

I hope this helps....please let me know if it does.

Best Regards,
Dan
