Port mapper failure
if i try to recover with legato networker 5.5 i will get " port mapper failure" on a superdome sd32000 with hp-ux 11.11.
If i slow down the machine by putting a "tusc" on the networker-prozess, it works. Timing problems ??
Please help me!!

Re: Port mapper failure
I'm just going to take a guess you're on Gigabit ethernet?
Can you figure out what rate the card is configure at?
Is there NFS mounts involved..
this is just because 11i has a few patches to synchronise to 11.00 level and I've heard of a few GB ethernet issues on superdome related to 11i.

Re: Port mapper failure
Thanks for your reply,
a) i'm not on an giga-ethernet
b) the cards are set to 100 FD manual on both machines
c) there are no nfs-mounts

Re: Port mapper failure
Hi Klaus,
Have you any other problems on the SD related to networking, I'd be surprised that you are seeing the errors when I don't and I'm on really old 11i releases.
I'd tend to suggest a s/w problem.. and would be looking for any application specific logging/patches.
Just in case there are issues related to your networking card, check out the following URL:
