The diagnostics program that is started automatically at start up is one running the routines

see /sbin/init.d/diagnostics for info

also ps -ef | grep stm will display the running monitors (and their paths).

If usually is not a good idea to disable the error messages. It is the systems way of telling you of potential problems

Re: predcitive alerts disable

Are we talking about the old obsoleted "Predictive Support" software that was used to phone home ??

If so it is obsoleted many years ago. Remove the product if you wish, that will end the messages.

EMS is now used, comes with Online Diag just like predictive use to.

Re: predcitive alerts disable

What alerts are you actually getting, that you're trying to turn off?

I believe that Predictive has been superseded by ISEE - http://h20219.www2.hp.com/services/cache/10709-0-0-225-121.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

I would not recommend disabling the EMS HW monitors, but you should make sure you have an up-to-date version running.

You can see the configured requests with /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/moncheck , and you can use /etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig to remove any that are not needed anymore.
