Print Spooling

When lpstat is executed get the following errors for all printers:

cannot examine spooling area
cannot find the printer printername

No output from the spooler.

backgound:
ex system admin changed permissions and owners in the /usr directories, believe this is related to this issue.

Re: Print Spooling

Hi

I am attaching the ls -lR for /usr/spool/lp of my machine , hope it helps you in comparison.

Incase you have many few printers then reinstall them. It is easier then to debug the problems , also check for the following

/usr/spool/lp/interface
/usr/spool/lp/request
/usr/spool/lp/member

directories .
