It's quite a simple job, particularly if they are network connected. On the other hand, if you have other systems printing to these devices it's best to set up the print queue on one machine and all other machines using remote printing to the first machine.

The problem is when I try to run a test page I can not get it to plot. How can I troubleshoot this problem?

Error Output (stderr) FROM COMMAND "/USR/BIN/LP -DHPPLOTER /VAR/TMP/samMEAa06663" :
/usr/bin/lp: destination "HPPLOTTER" non-existent.
Do anyone have information on this error?

you should check if you have hpplotter in your /etc/hosts. Then try a ping to hpplotter.

"lpstat -t" will show if the printer exists and is enabled and is accepting connection.

When I go into a text editor and click "print" I get this error message "An X Print server for HPPLOTTER could not be found.
