printing problems - connection reset
We are getting various printing problems, probably caused by known network slowness problems.
Our system prints over the network to Jetdirects. We use Jetadmin to set up the Qs. We are getting a lot of prints requeued, some of which only partially come out. The /var/adm/lp/log has many messages "hpnpf: Connection reset by peer" and "Unable to finish the job, try to recover job". We have tried increasing the idle_timeout to 90secs on the printer, but this has not fixed it. Any ideas please?

Re: printing problems - connection reset
You may need to increase some of your TCP timeout values to allow for your poor network. If your on 11.0 use the ndd command (ndd -h supported will list all the options). If on 10.20 use the nettune command.
