Re: problem in mounting cdrom drive

Hi mohana

if you run ioscan -fnkCdisk (k for kerner) you can see the special file?

If you change cd have the same problem?

Re: problem in mounting cdrom drive

hi,
connect the old CDROM drive. boot the machine
and run ioscan -fnC disk
search for the CDROM drive in the output . what
is the H/W status and S/W status of that drive in the above output?.
Did you try changing scsi cable which connects CDROM drive ?.

Re: problem in mounting cdrom drive

Hi,

where is the cdrom located at the scsi-bus? Please check the termination and the termination power. I think this is a scsi-bus problem.
