Problem installing bind upgrade
Hi,
I have downloaded the "BIND 8.1.2 Optional Upgrade Version 1.3", which upgrades from bind from bind 4.X to 8.1.2 for 11.00 machines. What I get from HP site (http://www.software.hp.com/products/DNS_BIND/index.html) is a tar file, not a depot one and, once decompressed, I only get -under bash- "cannot execute binary file" (or "Cannot execute, permission denied" -under sh-) messages.
What's wrong?
Thanks.

Re: Problem installing bind upgrade
Hi,
Have you read the installation instructions also to be found on the page you indicate.
http://www.software.hp.com/products/DNS_BIND/bind812_install.txt
The tar file is the depot which you must install with swinstall.
First read the installation instructions.
