Problem with A4926A

Hi.

I have a A4926A lan card and I can't use it.

This is my output after one ioscan and insf -e:

# ioscan -fnC lan
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
========================================================================
lan 0 0/0/0/0 btlan CLAIMED INTERFACE HP PCI
10/100Base-TX Core
/dev/diag/lan0 /dev/ether0 /dev/lan0
lan 4 0/3/0/0/6/0 btlan CLAIMED INTERFACE HP A5838A PCI
100Base-TX/SCSI COMBO
/dev/diag/lan4 /dev/ether4 /dev/lan4
lan 5 0/3/0/0/7/0 btlan CLAIMED INTERFACE HP A5838A PCI
100Base-TX/SCSI COMBO
/dev/diag/lan5 /dev/ether5 /dev/lan5
lan 1 0/4/0/0 gelan CLAIMED INTERFACE HP A4926A PCI
1000Base-SX Adapter

I can't use the interface because I can't find the devicefile.

How can I configure this interface?

Thanks.

Re: Problem with A4926A

Make sure you have the gelan software installed, and that the driver has been compiled into the kernel.

Re: Problem with A4926A

Hi.

The lan adaptar is configured without having a device file. In "lanscan" i can see the device gelan.

I configured with "netconf" and everything is ok.

Thanks.
