problem with lvmrec

I have resolved the problem as:
[vgextend] of the [vg]
[pvmove] on the wide disk
[vgreduce] broken disk

all [ok ps]

the [vgscan] has me destroyed [lvmtab] literally.

Jimmy,

What do you have mounted, when you run strings against /etc/lvmtab what do you get?
What did you really do, and can you give me information to help the situation.
