problem with Node,Hostname expansion enchancement

have applyed the NodeHostNameXpnd to the server
but an entry was not entered into the kernal and a new kernal was not built...... I applyed this option to other servers and it worked on them..


Any ideas?

Something required is missing on this system.

swverify the installation on this system, look for corrupt depots.

Also possible there are missing components in the kernel /stand area. Try manually compiling a kernel and see if it works. If not it will provide helpful diagnostics.

Sorry missed something.

Check the swinstall log of this product. It may indicate pre-requisites were not present and a partial installation failure.

Are hostnames more than 8 bytes REALLY worth the trouble?
