Howdy
The server in question is an rp8400 running a single partition, HPUX11.11. This past weekend, the server crashed for some unknown reason. During the "reboot" it stopped with an error that "Activation of root volume group failed..Quorum not present or some physical volumes missing. I was able to boot with a "hpux -lq" and afterwards both disks in my vg00 seem to be ok. My question is, how can i check and change my LIF to make sure on a crash it doesn't look for quorum. I don't care at that point. and can i make these changes to an active boot VG?
thanks

Re: Problems while booting - vg00 no quorum
You can use the mkboot command to change the AUTO file:
"mkboot -a "hpux -lq" /dev/rdsk/c1t6d0"

Re: Problems while booting - vg00 no quorum
also, if mirroring (which you should be), make sure that there are no stale extents on the volumes.
to me, it sounds like you failed a drive somewhere in vg00, or that its at least starting to go.....
