Process basicdsd

Hi Guys,

I am having a serious problem with one of my main HP-UX Servers. I machine hangs every time I startup the oracle database. I have noticed the process call basicdsd that takes up 98% of the cpu. I have tried to kill it but it keeps on coming on again and once it comes on the system become very slow and blocks eventually. I would be greatful for any advice on what to do.

Thank you.

Yus.
