hi folks,
I am getting the following result when I do a grep on a certain web* process on ps -ef.
Could someone tell me what defcs means. Our web server keeps hanging and our database server (on which i ran ps -ef) keeps giving usr% around 99 with sar -u 1 10.
I was hoping if someone could help me find way to reduce load on these servers or find out the bottleneck for these loads.
thanks,
ap.

Hi,
No idea about what "defcs" could be.
A step by step guide on troubleshooting system performance problems.
http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en_US&docId=200000063210674
The Doc id is S3100002312A.
this is the first doc in a three part series. also check out docs S3100002312B & S3100002312C.
Hope this helps.
