ps2_readbyte_timeout: no byte after 500 uSec
Hi HP Gurus,
Server is down: Can you help me in briging up the box.
Recent changes: CPU3 has been replaced
Model :k580
OS Version : hp-ux 10.20
Brief Description : After replacement server has came back, but when we tried to start the cluster services....the system has gone down.
It did twice...what could be the possible reason for this.
Immediate attention is required.
Thank You

Re: ps2_readbyte_timeout: no byte after 500 uSec
The message simply means there is no ps/2 pc type keyboard attached to Your server and this message is quite definitely unrelated to Your problem.
Is the system panicking on cluster startup?
Can You - maybe editing out hostnames and such - post Your /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log and /etc/cmcluster//.log files?
The relevant error message should be found in there.
Also - sorry to say this - asking for immediate attention on a forum is *not* the most effective solution for a production cluster failure.

yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.
