Reboot after panic:

Hello folks,

First of all our machine details:

uname -a
HP-UX wesux1 B.10.20 B 9000/889 419593372 16-user license
model
9000/889/K460

This machine rebooted itself last night around 9pm. Here is the contents of shutdownlog:

20:57 Sun Nov 21 2004. Reboot after panic: , isr.ior = 0'a627fffe.c0000000'a1315a4c

Attached is ts99 from /var/tombstones, which Im afraid to say does not make much sense to me.

I have the core.0.[1-4].gz and vmunix.gz files in /var/adm/crash/core.0 .

This machine has had no kernel work or pathes installed on it for several months.

I would be very greatful if someone could help me to shed some light on this.

Kind regards
Nick .

Re: Reboot after panic:

As far as I understand these tombstones, you have had an HPMC (High Priority Machine Check). This is a hardware problem (I guess memory or I/O). You should contact your hardware support and send them this file. They can exactly tel you what the problem is.
Ther could be more panics coming.
