Re: Reflection X Error
It sounds to me like a local reflection x problem rather than a HPUX problem. Can you log in from other workstations?

Re: Reflection X Error
Thanks for the info. I got the location of "xrdb". I think, it is an empty(all lines hashed) file !! Is something wrong here ??

Re: Reflection X Error
With respect to Exceed there is a solution give for similar problem. I am not sure if it is valid for ReflectionX. However it might give you some clue.

Re: Reflection X Error
We are using Reflection 8. There is no patch in the URL you have mentioned.

Re: Reflection X Error
Mine is empty too, so I guess that's ok. One other thing to check there is the 'Server Resource Database' available from the same menu. If you click on view, there is a help button, click on that for some help. Enclosed is my xrdb file.
Do you get this from other workstations, or just from that one?
Cheers,
Myles

Re: Reflection X Error
There is a file in your home directory called .Xdefaults. Check this file, does it say anything crazy? Check the man page for X, it says what this should contain.
Can you replicate this problem on another workstation? Is your X server running on your server?
Cheers,
Myles

Re: Reflection X Error
Sorry for the late reply.
We are trying to replicate the problem in multiple desktops. I will get back on this ASAP

Re: Reflection X Error
If this problem occurs when trying to connect to the server==> Then Xserver probably isn't running, or Reflection X has problems. If it is happening when you try to log in with an individual user then probably the $HOME/.Xdefaults file is corrupt or has the wrong permissions/owner. If you delete it or move it, it should be re-created with a default setup when you log in.
Good Luck,
Myles
