Hi,
I am using hp-ux 11.11 on 9000 N class server. Somehow my X11 folder in /usr/bin is missing. Should i install it again. If yes where can i get it ?

Re: reg : X11 folder

You can copy it over from a similar server. You may also want to reinstall X11.

Re: reg : X11 folder

You can copy the X11 directory /usr/bin from same server class machine. check as,

# swlist X11

what are you getting. It is deciding that.

Re: reg : X11 folder

Hi Leo,

You need to do a "swverify" to find out what all files and folders missing for X11.

# swverify X11

Re: reg : X11 folder

could you not try reinstalling either the CDE Run Time filesets from the core O/S CD or even better perhaps the X11 Runtime filesets which I beleive are a sub set of the CDE RT

Re: reg : X11 folder

Hi,

Since the missing of directory is still a systery I would suggest to reinstall the whole OS itself if possible through previous ignite tape which have these files or from the cd/dvd itself. This is also important that there could be some other similar directories missing as well which you can check with swverify or #swlist -l fileset -a state
