Regrding FTAM
Hi,
I want to transfer files from one HP-9000(Initiator) server to another HP-9000 server(responder) automatically using FTAM.
Can any one tell me the procedure(Any script) regarding automatised file transfer? Which interface to use, Application Program Interface or interactive utility interface.
We installed FTAM application and OTS to both servers but we could transfer the files manualy but we need to automatized the file transfer?
Can anyone tell me the procedure for it ?
Utpal

Re: Regrding FTAM
Hi,
Don't know much about FTAM, to be honest.
You could try using SSH-SCP. This will definitely work.
Ollie.

Re: Regrding FTAM
Hi,
there is procedure!
In your home directory create .ftamrc file
with 600 perm.
In this file ( same sintax as .netrc )
machine NAME_OF_TARGET login REMOTE_LOGIN password REMOTE_PASSWORD
# ftam NAME_OF_TARGET
will not prompt you for password
and the you can use any ftam command you want
You can use fcp and fmv commands non-interactivly.
HTH
Kind regards,
Hrvoje
