reinstall

How do I change the reinstall option to TRUE?

NOTE: The bundle "B8342AA,r=B.11.11.48.01" is already installed. If
you wish to reinstall this bundle, change the "reinstall"
option to "true".

Re: reinstall

on your swinstall, use -x reinstall_files=true, or filesets. You can change this from the gui with options/change ooptions.

Re: reinstall

Hi,

The easiest way is to work with SAM. Choose for the Options menu and there you will find the entry you were looking for.

Re: reinstall

Hi John,

If you are installing using the swinstall interactive window, you can change this option under the option submenu on the top bar. From a command line you can use -x reinstall=true with the swinstall command. Use "man swinstall" more more detaila and options with the swinstall command.

Hope this helps.

Re: reinstall

Just a reminder - when you do this make sure you are not "reinstalling" over something that has already been patched or upgraded. I know there is normally a red flag that comes up when we talk about reinstallation unless we're sure each fileset has not already been written over by something newer.
