Remote printer

When creating a remote printer on HP-UX 11 using SAM fail and gives an error ( the remote printer "bill ( whose location is bill on Jet)" already exists on this system.

Note: printer name: bill
: remote system name: jet
: remote printer name: bill

The same configuration works on HP-UX 11i

Hi,
sounds as if the printer has already once been configured on the system, and although seemingly non-existing, SAM apparently *sees* it. Try to delete it first by:
# lpadmin -xbill

Remove the printer first with lpadmin -x
before recreating it.
