replace HBA
I have a situtaion where a tachyon adapter is being replaced from a server (both 11.11 and rp 4440) the /dev/td0 is bad on server A. we are going to pull the good /dev/td0 from server B and put it on Server A. To do this what are the special steps required? will the new HBA see the luns?
thanks

Re: replace HBA
The WWN (world wide name) will change with the new adapter. If your LUNs are masked according to the WWN, then you will have to make sure that the WWN for "new" adapter on server A is configured so it can see the appropriate LUNs.

Re: replace HBA
Hi Brian,
From servers hardware point of view, the replacement has no issues. But for the LUN, it will depend on your zoning configuration on the SAN Switches and on the storages.
Regards,
Sandy

I never think of the future. It comes soon enough.
