replace scsi card

Hi there.

We have a Disk system 2100 with u320 scsi disks attached to a L1000 server throught a FAST WIDE SCSI card. Disks mirrored by HP-UX mirror sw. ¿Is it possible to replace this card whith a Adaptec RAID SCSI ASR- 2120S?. ?¿Would mirror sw neccesary in this case?


Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Unless this card is tested by HP and certified to work in HP9000 machines, I would say NO it would not be possible.

How I know wich cards can attach whith L1000?

There are no third party RAID controllers supported, I guess.

The only one working with DS21x0 was the RAID4si, long time ago.

A supported solution is a SmartArray controller with a connected MSA30.
