repost .. Script help needed ..

Here is my original post that i didnt see any of the respones to.
I was wondering if anyone has any good scripts for HPUX that will list and catogorize the drivers installed in a machine. And also a script that give good performance stats such as free space and
ide % and so on for HPUX and SCO-unix.
thanks

Re: repost .. Script help needed ..

You can check through SAM->kernel configuration->drivers. For your script check out /stand/system by doing cat /stand/system or just "lsdev"

lsdev
vmstat

Both basic commands. You can parse the output or log to file as you please.

Re: repost .. Script help needed ..

For the drivers installed on HP-UX, look into the /stand/system file. The drivers would be listed in their own category.

For the others, can use vmstat, bdf, df -k, sar, etc. There will be some differences between the SCO and HPUX (bdf vs. df for disk space). Also, HPUX is using LVM so the total disk space may not be in use. Can use the vgdisplay command to find these.

In order to list the drivers you can use either the "lsdev" ( try to type simply lsdev ) command or SAM (
SAM->kernel configuration->drivers. )

Here is a good script that could be helpful for you !
