Request Timed Out
Hi
I got RP7420 server loaded with 11i and also Gold pack June 2004.This server have Gigabit SX card configured on it for network connectivity.I am getting request timed out while using ping from PC's connected thru 100MBPS network cards and also emulation session gets disconnected frequently for one of the server.same thing is not ocurring with systems having Gigabit card.
Thanks
srikanth

Re: Request Timed Out
Hi Srikanth,
Post your 'lanadmin -g' output. See if there are any discards, errors etc.,.
If you have another card, try switching to it. If it is not card, then it may be something to do with the switch configuration. Try another switch port. We have many systems with gigabit fiber connections and they work just fine. Also your system is at good patch level.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try

Re: Request Timed Out
You may also want to do following.
netfmt /var/adm/netl.LOG00
This would give you information on problems about link down etc.

Re: Request Timed Out
What switch are you using? Do you have the latest firmware for it?
