resmon
the resmon directory is under /etc/opt. I think this would be under /opt normally. What product initiates this resmon directory and why it got installed under /etc? Please advise

Hi Brian,
The *binaries* for EMS are indeed under /opt/resmon...BUT....as /etc was intended, /etc/opt/resmon is where the config files for EMS reside.

Hi Brian,
As the others have said, it is expected for there to be a resmon directory under /etc/opt as well as under /opt. If you've only got one of these, then you do have a problem.
To check the installation of EMS, and the EMS HW Monitors, run:
swverify OnlineDiag
which should show any problems.
