Rlogin Problem
Hi everybody...
I??ve a problem.....
some users in my company have a caracter terminal (vt100 compatible).
They make logon into Aan E35 Box (HPUX10.20), after this, the profile user make a rlogin into D270 (HPUX10.20 too).
Well, after this login, the functions key dont works.
The file into /usr/lib/terminfo/v/vt100 are the same in both HP Box.
The TERM variable is 'vt100' in both system.
The file /etc/ttype is correct.
Someone have an idea???
Thanks...

Re: Rlogin Problem
This is not an rlogin problem. rlogin is supposed to use the environment of the system you FIRST logged into.
Diagnostic.
env > /tmp/env.txt
On both systems. compare the results. Make sure this is for a regular user, not root.
Also, check ssty -a and see if there is a conflict. That could cause this problem.
This is a terminal character set issue.
It really has to do with the keyboard profile.
The most likely cause is the TERM variable not being correctly set in the .profile of the users.
However, because this is rlogin, it should be set correctly. Still, I'd check it.
You need the check the configuration of the character terminal and make sure its set to vt100. If there is a conflict this could explain the behavior.
What kind of terminal are you using. You probably need to check the docs on that to get consistent behavior.
