oh is it. so i should use legacy naming..

can you say me how to find out the legacy naming?

First of all I would suggest to check the disk with

# dd if=/dev/rdsk/c2t1d0s2 of=/dev/null bs=1024

then remove this disk from vg00 and start over according to the PDF.

its not so mather if you use legasy or agile, but for the configuration and clear view it is better.

"/dev/rdsk/c2t1d0s2" is the legacy device file, but you should use the NEW, e.g. /dev/disk/disk5.

Find out with

# ioscan -m dsf

now the added second disk have its stale partitions.

how can i clear that and re sync it.

Hi,

I think you should:
- break the mirror,
- vgreduce the disk /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2
- Check if it is ok with dd and the redo the steps from the beginig.
- After that, vgextend the vg00 with the agile device file and then, redo the mirror.
