rpc.ttdbserver using up resources?
I have recently installed HP-UX 11.0 on my B2000
workstation. For a few days now I have problems with memory usage (778MB), as many programs complain about not enough memory.
Trying to identify the problem, I looked into top - here is the output:
LOAD USER NICE SYS IDLE BLOCK SWAIT INTR SSYS
2.10 50.3% 0.0% 49.7% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0%
Memory: 177300K (130912K) real, 1116348K (131296K) virtual, 74596K free Page# 1/3
TTY PID USERNAME PRI NI SIZE RES STATE TIME %WCPU %CPU COMMAND
? 1138 root 233 20 6824K 132K run 31262:00 83.46 83.32 rpc.ttdbserver
pts/0 9639 martin 154 20 48340K 11136K sleep 0:16 3.55 3.54 acroread

It seems that the process rpc-ttdbserver is using up many resources (especially CPU-time)
Is this normal behaviour?
If yes, how can I find out where the memory gets used?
If not, what can I do against it?
