I want to install and configuring one server on HPUX 11.00/32 bits with Samba software. I found that this product on HPUX is :
CIFS-Server A.01.04 CIFS/9000 (Samba) File and Print Services
on HPUX 11i, that??s true ?. I need to pay for this product on HPUX 11.00 ?.
My intention is establish this server like a Samba Server, where i can share file systems to Windows clients. I know if i use NFS on my HP server and install NFS clients software on the windows clients can make that function. But i know that Samba is more strong than NFS.
Somebody know where i can find information for install and configuring Samba on HP-UX ?.
Best Regards !

Re: Samba !!
The CIFS/9000 product from HP is their repackaged version of Samba, which is Open Source software, which is free.
Here is a URL to the CIFS docs:

It comes in 2 flavors: with winbind, and without. I'm using this package, and its been working great for me.
