Samba
It's 9pm and I need to know how to use (debug) Samba by 9am (LOL). I've downloaded the free O'Rielly book, all 300+ pages of it.
Any good resources online? I'm about to go to samba.org.
It's worked fine for years on my 10.20 server, and since Monday has not worked.
I don't see "smbd -D" and "nmbd -D" in the process list, should those be active? (They are on a second server.)
I've manually run:
/sbin/init.d/samba start but the process still doesn't show.
As always, thanks for any direction.

Re: Samba
Well, that was quick. It seems the UID didn't match in the system passwd file and the smbpasswd file. I'll have to talk to somebody about that.
I'm still interested in any good reading on Samba. A crash course kind of thing.
Thanks.....

Re: Samba
This may not be there by 9:00, but try www.samba.org. They have a complete book online as well most current documentation.
