samba

when starting the nmbd daemon ,it is running fine but when starting smbd it is not running .
and couldn't login in to samba user

Check the smbd.log file in /var/opt/samba

Check /var/opt/samba/smbd.log for any issues as well, check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for more information. Have you configured Samba properly ? You can use swat to configure SAMBA running on HP-UX.

Is there any error in log files. check the running status. Start smbd first and nmbd next.

what r u getting there. Post error informations.
